Information for Current Learning Assistants

Learning Assistants are required to attend two professional development workshops (80 minutes each) as a requirement for their position. Please visit https://rlc.rutgers.edu/employment/peer-leader-training-calendar to view the Peer Leader Training Calendar and register for workshops.

First-time and Returning LAs must also be a part of the LA Program Canvas site for the current semester. If you did not join the site yet, please contact learningassistants@echo.rutgers.edu. 

Update regarding remote instruction for Spring 2020:

Our peer leaders who will be offering services online for the remainder of the semester are required to complete the Online Academic Support training module in Canvas. Peer Leaders will be given access to it by March 20th. If you are a peer leader and have not gained access to the module by March 20th, please contact your supervisor or email us at pltraining@echo.rutgers.edu.

All in-person professional development workshops have been cancelled and will be replaced with both synchronous and asynchronous online options. More details will be shared soon through email and our Peer Leader Training Calendar.
