Leading Groups & Designing Activities

Peer leaders will learn how to design effective activities for their study groups that encourage learning and will learn how to manage groups effectively. The Rutgers Learning Centers provide training sessions throughout the semester for any academic peer leader at Rutgers (tutors, study group leaders, peer instructors, learning assistants, etc.). RLC tutors and learning assistants are required to participate in at least two of these sessions, in addition to the initial New Peer Leader Training. If you work as an academic peer leader for another program at RU, you are also welcome to participate in our trainings.
