Student Leader Training

What We Offer

The Learning Centers offer free, modular (1-2 hour), half-day, or full-day in-person and online training programs for students working in academic leadership positions, such as tutors and study group leaders. Our training programs are founded on evidence-based practices and can be tailored to fit the needs of your staff.

We also teach a pedagogy course that is required of Learning Assistants and offered to all of our peer leaders. If you are interested in learning more about this course, please email Stacey Blackwell.

How to Schedule a Training Session

We can provide an in-person or online training program training for your peer leaders (in the form of two hours, half day, full day, multiple day or that of your choosing) or they can attend our regularly scheduled professional development workshops. Please see our calendar for the professional development workshop schedule.

To plan a training program for your peer leaders, use our Request Support Form or call 848-445-0987 to speak with Sari Katzen, our Developmental Specialist of Training and Professional Development Programs.
